1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PRPM (Prompt Package Manager) at https://prpm.dev ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

  • A package registry for AI prompts, rules, skills, and agents
  • Command-line interface (CLI) for package management
  • Web interface for package discovery and management

  • Format conversion services (Cursor, Claude, Continue, Windsurf)
  • Collection management and curation
  • 3. Account Registration

    3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • You must maintain the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • 3.2 GitHub OAuth

  • PRPM uses GitHub for authentication
  • By logging in, you authorize us to access your GitHub profile information
  • We only request necessary permissions (email, profile)
  • 3.3 Organization Accounts

  • Organizations require a designated administrator
  • Administrators manage team members and billing
  • Organizations are responsible for all member activities
  • 4. Acceptable Use Policy

    4.1 Permitted Use

    You may use PRPM to:

  • Publish and share AI prompt packages
  • Install packages for personal or commercial use
  • Create and share collections
  • Collaborate with teams on private packages
  • 4.2 Prohibited Use

    You may NOT:

  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or malware
  • Publish packages that violate intellectual property rights
  • Abuse the service (spam, excessive API calls, DDoS)
  • Scrape or harvest data from the registry
  • Impersonate others or create fake accounts
  • Publish illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Circumvent payment or usage limits
  • Reverse engineer the Service (except open source components)
  • Use the Service to compete with PRPM
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • 4.3 Content Guidelines

    Packages must:

  • Be relevant to AI prompt engineering
  • Include accurate descriptions and metadata
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Not contain malicious or harmful code
  • Comply with applicable laws
  • 5. Intellectual Property

    5.1 Your Content

  • You retain all rights to packages you publish
  • By publishing, you grant PRPM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
  • - Host and distribute your packages

    - Convert formats for different AI editors

    - Display in search results and listings

    - Back up and cache for performance

  • You represent that you have the right to publish the content
  • 5.2 Package Licenses

  • Packages must include a valid open source license (MIT, Apache 2.0, etc.) or proprietary license for private packages
  • Users must comply with package licenses when using content
  • PRPM is not responsible for license violations
  • 5.3 PRPM Intellectual Property

  • The PRPM name, logo, and service are owned by us
  • PRPM is open source under MIT License
  • You may fork, modify, and distribute PRPM per the MIT License
  • You may not use our trademarks without permission
  • 5.4 DMCA Policy

  • We respect intellectual property rights
  • To report copyright infringement, contact: legal@prpm.dev

    - Description of copyrighted work

    - Location of infringing content

    - Good faith statement

    - Statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury

    6. Pricing and Payment

    6.1 Free Tier

  • Public package publishing and installation: FREE forever
  • Basic CLI features: FREE
  • Community support: FREE
  • 6.2 Paid Plans

    Current pricing (subject to change with 30 days notice):

  • Team: $29/month (10 private packages, 5 members)
  • Business: $99/month (100 private packages, 20 members)
  • Enterprise: $299/month (unlimited packages and members)
  • Verified Badge: $49/month per author
  • 6.3 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
  • Prices are in USD
  • Payment via Stripe (credit card)
  • Automatic renewal unless canceled
  • Annual plans billed upfront, non-refundable
  • 6.4 Taxes

  • Prices exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax)
  • You are responsible for all taxes
  • We collect taxes where required by law
  • 6.5 Refunds

  • Free tier: N/A
  • Monthly plans: Pro-rated refund if canceled within 7 days
  • Annual plans: No refunds after first 30 days
  • Enterprise: Custom terms in contract
  • 6.6 Usage Limits

  • Free tier: Rate limits, storage limits, public packages only
  • Exceeding limits may result in throttling or suspension
  • Upgrade to paid plan for higher limits
  • 6.7 Price Changes

  • We may change prices with 30 days notice
  • Existing subscriptions grandfathered for current billing cycle
  • Continued use after price change constitutes acceptance
  • 7. Privacy and Data

    7.1 Data Collection

    We collect:

  • Account information (email, username from GitHub)
  • Package metadata and content
  • Usage analytics (installs, searches, downloads)
  • Billing information (via Stripe)
  • Log data (IP addresses, timestamps)

    7.2 Data Use

    We use data to:

  • Provide and improve the Service
  • Process payments
  • Send service updates (opt-out available)
  • Detect abuse and fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • 7.3 Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained while account is active + 30 days after deletion
  • Package data: Retained indefinitely (unless unpublished)
  • Logs: 90 days
  • Billing: 7 years (legal requirement)
  • 8. Service Availability

    8.1 Uptime

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantees
  • Free tier: No SLA
  • Paid plans: 99.5% uptime SLA (credit for downtime)
  • Enterprise: Custom SLA available
  • 8.2 Maintenance

  • Scheduled maintenance with advance notice
  • Emergency maintenance may occur without notice
  • We'll minimize disruption where possible
  • 8.3 Service Changes

  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
  • We'll provide notice for material changes
  • No liability for changes to the Service
  • 9. Termination

    9.1 Termination by You

  • Cancel subscription anytime from account settings
  • Data export available for 30 days after cancellation
  • Cancellation effective at end of billing period
  • 9.2 Termination by Us

    We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Abuse the Service
  • Fail to pay (for paid plans)
  • Engage in illegal activities
  • Cause security or legal risks
  • 9.3 Effect of Termination

  • Access to Service immediately revoked
  • Private packages become inaccessible
  • Public packages may remain available (at our discretion)
  • No refund for unused time (except where required by law)
  • Data deleted 30 days after termination (export available before deletion)
  • 10. Warranties and Disclaimers

    10.1 Service "AS IS"

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Accuracy or reliability of content
  • 10.2 User Content

  • We do not vet, verify, or endorse user-submitted packages
  • We are not responsible for package quality, security, or functionality
  • Use packages at your own risk
  • We disclaim all liability for user content
  • 10.3 Third-Party Services

  • The Service integrates with GitHub, Stripe, and other third parties
  • We are not responsible for third-party service availability or terms
  • Third-party service disruptions may affect PRPM
  • 11. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

    11.1 No Liability for Damages

    WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Third-party content or actions
  • Security breaches or unauthorized access
  • 11.2 Maximum Liability

    Our total liability for all claims shall not exceed the greater of:

  • $100 USD, or
  • Amounts paid by you to PRPM in the 12 months before the claim
  • 11.3 Exceptions

    Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of liability, so these limits may not apply to you.

    12. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PRPM, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your packages or content
  • Your breach of applicable laws
  • 13. Dispute Resolution

    13.1 Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law provisions.

    13.2 Arbitration

    14.3 No Waiver

    Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.

    14.4 Assignment

  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent
  • We may assign these Terms to any successor or affiliate
  • 14.5 Force Majeure

    We are not liable for delays or failures due to causes beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, war, etc.).

    14.6 Export Compliance

    You agree to comply with all export and import laws when using the Service.

    14.7 Government Use

    If you're a U.S. government entity, the Service is a "Commercial Item" as defined in FAR 2.101.

    17. Special Terms for Specific Plans

    17.1 Enterprise Plans

  • Custom terms in Enterprise Agreement
  • Enterprise Agreement supersedes these Terms where conflicts exist

  • 17.2 Self-Hosted Deployments

  • Separate Self-Hosted License Agreement required
  • Support terms defined in Enterprise Agreement
  • Updates and maintenance per contract
  • 17.3 API Access

  • API access subject to rate limits and fair use
  • Abuse may result in immediate suspension
  • Commercial API use requires paid plan
  • 17.4 Premium Collections

  • Collection purchases are one-time payments
  • No refunds after download
  • Updates provided at creator's discretion
  • Revenue sharing per Collection Creator Agreement
  • 18. Open Source

    18.1 PRPM Software

  • PRPM is fully open source under MIT License
  • Source: https://github.com/[org]/prompt-package-manager
  • Contributions welcome per CONTRIBUTING.md
  • Free to use, modify, distribute, and self-host without restriction
  • You may fork and create derivative works
  • Commercial use is explicitly permitted
  • 18.2 User Packages

  • Packages published to PRPM have their own licenses
  • Package authors choose their own license (MIT, Apache, proprietary, etc.)
  • Users must comply with package licenses
  • PRPM's MIT license does not apply to user-submitted packages
  • 18.3 Future License Changes

  • We reserve the right to change the license for future versions
  • Existing versions remain under their original license (MIT)
  • This allows flexibility if cloud vendor competition emerges
  • Changes will be announced with 90 days notice
